Visualize Your Sales Process Personally I have always been fascinated by the Sales Process. The most fascinating to me is the visualization of that process and the complex business story that it tells. For example when I look at the data story below they reveal Quote size, quantity and quotes not yet closed. The Orders reveal average sales lifecycle, an indicator of future sales and of future cash flow. Invoices reveal average delivery cycle, speed of invoicing and state of current fulfillment. The range of this data is astonishing when we consider how many organizational functions – Sales, Fulfillment (Engineering/Consulting/Inventory Management), Accounting dept. efficiency and ultimately Cash Management – impact this data and consequently how we can measure performance across these functions.
